Startplatz-Beschreibung
Any place at the top of the hill or from the slope.
Anfahrt
By car as when coming from Riga: Take E22. You will reach a place called 'Klidzina' which is a roadside restaurant in kind of walley. Continue on E22, pass the bridge, go up the hill and you will see a village on the right side. One of the roads entering village will have sign 'Aizkraukles pilskalns'. Take it and stop at the designated parking just few meters from the main road. The walk down the gravel road for 5min and you are there. There is also a way to reach the foot of the hill by car, but sometimes that road is completely covered by mud.
Wetter
Rotors when wind is coming from sides. Fly only when the wind is near perpendicular to the slope.

Ridge soaring is the only possible form of the flight, however for novice pilots it may also be ok for training such as precision landing etc.
