Startplatz-Beschreibung

Volcanic cone remnant. Grassy hill with some trees on lower parts of the hill. There are two antennas on top of the hill with a road to the top to access them. A 4x4 is required. Lots of space to camp just below launch, but permission is required from the local township to use the site.

It is a 2.5 hour drive from Arusha.

Wetter

There can be strong catabatic winds at this site, coming from Kilimanjaro in the evening.
