Startplatz-Beschreibung
West launch walk down from dirt road before towers. NW launch drive around back to north most tower, careful of guidelines.
Anfahrt
Gravel Pit on Hill Road. then head up to Towers
Regeln / Luftraum
Right at 5mile limit of LMT airspace. So head South away from Gravel pit.
Kommentare
It is impossible to reach any viable LZ to the west (or SW) of launch without violating the very busy southern approach to LMT airport. Kingsley Field Air Traffic Control Manager has asked that people NOT fly this site because of this. Ignoring that request is not only hazardous, it will negatively impact a strong working relationship with Kingsley ATC re our Hogs Back hike-and-fly site in the basin.
