Startplatz-Beschreibung

Approx 960m Faces SW Be aware of 2 sets power lines. One crossing from saddle to valley the other a single wire from antennas on summit.

Anfahrt

1H 15 from central Nelson at top of Takaka Hill. At end of top overtaking lane just before descent turn right with care onto gravel road. Continue approx 2 k to obvious airstrip on right. Park next to fence. Take Off is on west side of road.

Wetter

Be aware of sea breeze coming over from eastern side and southerlies from over the back. In summer the valley breeze can be strong. Be aware of small planes crossing over and using saddle road as reference.
