Startplatz-Beschreibung
Takeoff it's made of grass, with some rocks. It's perfect for beginners and for schools.
Anfahrt
By car, following the street from Castelmauro to the top of Mauro's mountain. Park next to takeoff, 5 seconds walk.
Wetter
Be aware that in this zone of Italy the dominant come from North-East, so when you're in southern configuration, the condition overall should be from strong to ultra strong. It's not due to lee situation, but from that south condition comes probably from perturbation in the air that make her quite unstable. It's not uncommon to fly in the early morning in +3 m/s thermal, and flown in 50 km/h south breeze in the afternoon.

It's a particular takeoff because it's not really high from the valley, just 200 meters. Soaring to the southern part of the 'Castelmauro - Northern' takeoff let you face through the valley, that have super thermal potential (records span from 3500 to '1 time in the life' 4100 mt). From here, we can go everywhere around molise. It's the most easier takeoff of all.
