Startplatz-Beschreibung

Take-off area is at the right top of Mt. Banyak mountain, 1350m. there is a 5km ridge soaring to the left, and thermals in the front. there is Mt. Panderman in front-right side and mountain XC in the back.

Anfahrt

Batu is pretty easy to reach by public transportation. Its 100km away from Surabaya city (2hours driving), and 20km away (half an hour driving)from Malang city. For you pilots who may find it difficult going there, you can contact yoshi by email or phone for assistance.

Wetter

Problems with wind and rainy weather during the northeast monsoon (November-February.) Beside of that, it's flying-party in Batu..

This could be the perfect place for paragliding in Java. The transportation is very easy between take-off and landing, lots of hotel and inn, lots of warung and restaurant, lots of friendly-bilingual pilots...:P
