Startplatz-Beschreibung

900 meters msl, it's faster to fly up to this site, from Kaotai, than it is to drive up. It is seldom used. Fly up from Kaotai, stop for lunch and fly out again. Watch that east wind take off. FLy down to cloudbase.

Anfahrt

Same as Kaotai ( also spelled Gaotai ). Then, take off at Gaotai, get at least 50 over launch, cross the powerlines, go DIRECTLY to the set of 5 houses under the draw. Use that lift to get high enough to cross the next ravine. Watch the rotors.

This is a nice site to fly 'to'. SAR helicopters use it for practice landing. So, be careful. Big difference in wind speed on the launch and above.
