Take-off description
A casual walk from the bottom on the dunes up wooden stairs, along a 200m path to the launch ramp. CAUTION. This is an advanced launch. DO NOT attempt to launch on the ramp! launch from up the path and once your wing is established walk your wing down on to the ramp and take off. The air flowing through the launch ramp will throw even the best ground handlers wing in to the pandanus tree next to the deck.
Getting there
Catch the ferry from Noosa. $6 each way as of September 2011 http://g.co/maps/g6duy You must have a permit for the beach or a fine will apply. https://www.epa.qld.gov.au/parks/iaparks/gds/IAGDS460.do Drive to the third and last beach access you come across and turn left on to the beach drive for approx 6.8km until you locate the launch ramp in the dunes. Obey all normal road rules.

Must be a member of the HGFA. http://www.hgfa.asn.au/ Not in controlled air space, however carry a radio. Contact local clubs and or safety officers.
