Take-off description
Three launches: West (WNW), Main (NW-N), Kalbus (NNW-NNE)
Getting there
Most of Pickles Butte is Canyon County land, including West launch and Kalbus launch. Main Launch is privately owned. Drive in from the East side of the Butte by the dump and then make your way west to launches.
Weather
Flyable with 8-12 mph wind from WNW to NNE using the Nampa forecast as a reference point. Frequent high pressure, dry air, and valley inversions can make for small, broken punchy thermals. Great glass offs in the evening and smooth laminar wind in the mornings.
