Huge grassy ridge with takeoff possibilities everywhere
Getting there
Drive to town of Ilbisil (south on the A104 to Tanzania). After the town, you will see a rock quarry on the right. There is as sign for a school at the entrance to the dirt road. Follow this road to a house about (500 meters). Park in the clearing and walk up the ridge along the Southern spine of the hill. Alternatively: From behind the town of Ilbisil there is a dirt road leading to the base of the mountain follow this until the end and hike-up. This route is best taken on days when the wind is predominently out of the N-NE.

Comments
You will most likely be escorted by one or more Masai. They will expect you to pay them for using their land. I paid 500 shillings in 2011. I would not pay them more (though they will argue about it). Be friendly but firm.
