paragliders: do NOT turn immediately left, as this brings you right in front of hanggliding TO (not visible from the paragliding takeoff and vv)

Thermals usually allow flying with weak north winds here. Be very careful with strong north winds.

To fly here it is mandatory to have a 'Fly Card' issued by Consorzio Vivere il Grappa anda green smoke flare (to be used in case of tree landing etc AND NO rescue needed!)

Bassano del Grappa is a flight area which offers almost all year-round flying: be it just slede-rides for beginners or 'heavy duty' XC-flying for experts (you can get all the way into Croatia/ Slovenia). With around 300 flyable days, You'll get airborne here, even if the whole rest of the Alps is unflyable...
