Take-off description
Flat round mountain top, virtually all directions available. Better with some snow on the top.
Getting there
Usually the hike starts from Rifugio Citelli (Citelli Hut) where you can stay the nigh before going op.
Weather
Often very windy.
Rules / airspace
Formally you do not need a guide or permission for Pizzi Deneri. You would need one if you want to go higher on the main volcanic cone. Pizzi Deneri is in safe area, you can visit it even during a minor erruption.
