Take-off description
The TO is situated on small hill 100ft ASL facing NE and receiving a constant, all day long wind from the sea. Launch area is spacious, easy to launch and easy to stay airborne using dynamic lift. When enough height, it is possible to hop to the adjacent hill for longer ridge soaring. This site is very suitable for tandem flights for its spacious launch area, easy dynamic lifts for long airtime and spacious LZ.
Getting there
From Kuala Terengganu airport, take the direction to Bukit Keluang in Kuala Besut. Nearby the destination, take the exit to Tembila and look for the access to the beach and by the time you reach the end of road, you will definitely see the hill. From KL if by car, it takes approximately 5 hours drive via the new highway. By flight, usually Kota Bharu airport is nearer - at about 40km distance.

Rain, especially during monsoon season between November-February
Rules / airspace
This area is situated adjacent to military airforce area and during their training, expect some jet buzzing by but the altitude difference wouldn't be something that you need to worry about - it's very hard to get beyond 1000ft at this hill using dynamic lift. There's no known thermal flights here.

This is a newly developed site, please expect some time for the grass at the launch area to grow properly though the wind condition is good to fly all year long (well except when it rains during monsoon season).
