Getting there

Public roads. There is a moderately rough path leading from the valley road up to the take-off/top parking on the southern-most hill (4x4 recommended). The ridge at the northern end of the site is flyable, but take off areas are 'rustic' (i.e., WILD grass and unkept). The middle hill is best accessed by foot from its northern end.

Weather

Generally good. Sunny. Can be blown out after about 1400.

Rules / airspace

VFR. Please be considerate of farmers' crops and attempt to land in grasslands.

Comments

This site is a collection of 3 coastal-range hills with 2-3km of flatlands in front. The southernmost hill has a top-driveable/parking take-off/landing area. There are plenty of places for bottom landing. This is an adequate teaching site within 45 minutes of downtown Luanda. For a student/low-hour pilot, this is a pleasant and safe challenge. For those over about 50 hours...it's a nice way to relax near Shipwreck Beach.
