Take-off description
Verel Pragondran, cliff take off, be carefull by strong north wind. The begining of fantastic flights.
Getting there
From Chambéry, go to 'Chambéry le haut', then Sonnaz, then 'col de Saint Saturnin', then go to left for 500m then right, then left. Keep going until you reach the end of the road, a parking is here to avoid nuisance in the pragondran village. Enter the village by foot, then a trail is indicated to your left, keep walking for 15 minutes, there you are.
Weather
Take off impossible by south wind unless very low wind and very strong thermals. By North-East or East wind, generally flyable, because protected by the upper cliff, but above 1300m flying conditions might become a bit Rock & Roll
Comments
NO FLIGHTS IN VALLEY ! Due to the airport, stay on the cliff from take off to landing at a 1000m maximum altitude. Over the landing, you should be at a maximum of 50m height to ground (or 350m ASL)
