Getting there
Source: http://www.yasa.co.in/YPC/About_Yela.html BY ROAD: From CHENNAI take NH 4 direction toward Bangaluru. Before Vellore change to NH 46 and head towards Vanniyambadi, direction Krishnagiri. Once you have crossed the town look out for a sign to Yelagiri. Approx. 204 km from Chennai From BANGALURU take the Hosur road NH 7 and head towards Krishnagiri. At Krishnagiri toll gate take a left for Chennai on NH 46 and drive till you see a sign Yelagiri to your right. Approx. 126 km. From SALEM take NH 7 to Dharmapuri. Continue on direction to Chennai and after Krishnagiri toll gate drive on NH 46 and look out for a sign to Yelagiri to your right. Approx. 161 km. BY RAIL: From where ever you are take a train up to Jolarpettai an important train junction in South India, nestling at the base of the Yelagiri massive and catch the local bus or taxi for a 45 min. ride to Attanavoor, the main town in Yelagiri. BY AIR: CHENNAI and BANGALURU have the closest airports. After that by train or car which is mentioned above.
