Take-off description
Two launches, above the M and 3/4 up hill.
Getting there
Parking at the M trailhead, off Bridger Canyon RD. Bozeman, MT
Weather
SW facing slope, avoid launching when winds are cross, often west or NW winds aren't felt till wing is overhead. Be alert for down-canyon katabatic winds, the valley winds VS the east katabatic flow occurs when sun is rising or setting creating a shear layer above the LZ. Take a look at the fish hatchery flag across the street it can show the direction of the canyon flow.
Rules / airspace
Help keep this site open...And avoid proximity flying near any established trails or hikers, we have heard complaints from hikers that they felt pilots flew too close to them while hiking the ridge trail. Clear the LZ immediately and pack your wing in the area between the LZ and parking lot.
