Getting there
Getting up the mountain is only possible using a 4*4. Contact Horacio +54(0)2616506155 (mob) Leo Jury +54 2615058803 who at the time of writing could offer transportation up the mountain for 30 pesos per trip.
Weather
Mendoza has a weather condition called Zonda (similar to Foic in the Swiss alps), a turbulent wind system which usually occurs in winter when it's snowing in the andes to the west. Never fly in these conditions at any time in the day. As always consult with local pilots before flying. The following three days after a Zonda are generally excellent, with good themals and southerly winds. Summer is generally excellent for thermals, with winter being more tranquil.
Rules / airspace
no regulation
