Take-off description
This takeoff is really good for morning hike & flys from San Bernardino. Recommended is the panoramic route going through Pass di Passit, Pass de la Cruseta, and further south to takeoff.
Getting there
Recommended is the panoramic route going through Pass di Passit, Pass de la Cruseta (2455 m AMSL), and further south to takeoff. An alternate route could be Alp d'Ocola - Alp d'Arbeola - Bocca de Rogna (takeoff).
Weather
Being at high altitude and close to the main alpine ridge it is recommended to check the föhn previsions very carefully. This can be found on www.cvlt.ch/vento . FLYING WITH NORTH WIND CAN BE DEADLY!
