Take-off description
Launch from near the masts (there is a track to the top to access the radio masts) . Strong compression on the hill in W wind, often flyable in the evening as the sea breeze dies away. Frequently mountain is in cloud!
Getting there
From Allihies take the 'back' road to Castletownberehaven and turn up the track leading to the masts - easy to see on Google Earth.
Weather
Frequently blown out, and the hilltop is frequently in cloud.
Rules / airspace
No regulation.
Comments
If flying the SE face bottom landing is over the forestry, and a very long retrieve drive since track to launch is up the W side of the mountain. W face is preferable to fly with lots of landing options and access to the track leading to the top
