Take-off description
on top of a very tiny ridge - barely 40 m difference. optimal direction NNW
Getting there
Blankenhain south in direction Rudolstadt. As you reach to top of the ridge take a sharp left.
Rules / airspace
day fee 5 euro if you are not a member of DGFC Jena you are close to the restricted area Erfurt! which means practically no xc flights direction NE

great site for a lot of things - just do not underestimate it! can get some rough thermals smashing you around. record 130 km restricted to 5 pilots in the air. Please do not park at the takeoff - leave the car at the gravel road behind (just 100m to walk, cmon!) winching is done by the local club: DGFC Jena (check their homepage)
