Comments

Ownership / accessibility of hill: This is a construction waste dumping area and it is owned by the city. There is a 'no trespassing sign' close to the Teston Rd. entrance; at the same time there is a pick up after your dog sign too. On the weekends the hills around this area is used by a few quad riders and off road bikers. Also I have seen a few locals use it as a shortcut from Keele St. to Dufferin St. There is warehouse/concrete casting operation to the west and north, so to avoid challenges consider using this site on Sunday's only. Park your car outside as the gate is certainly closed on the weekends and just walk in from the side of the gate. ****DANGER**** The hill is filled with broken glass and pieces of metal rebars sticking out of the ground. This is an unsafe site especially if you are a beginner. Do not attempt to lunch mid hill as it is worst the top is only comparatively safer. The rain has washed the soft soil down and the broken glass and steel bars are remaining exposed even more. Also, consider health risks as this is a construction waste landfill. Fine dust is picked up at every gust and if it gets into your glider its not coming out! its a fine mixture of cement and gypsum dust.
