Take-off description

The NW takeoff is very large and located at the very top of the hill. No serious hazards apart from the masts behind. Ridge to the right of takeoff is apparently a good thermal trigger. The Southerly takeoff is has been manicured for paragliding but does require very committed launch. People tended to head straight to the huge rock face to the right of takeoff. Never flown easterly, very intimidating launch. Only enough room for one glider and maybe four or five steps.

Getting there

Head to the small town of Zujar, near to Baza. Go down the main street. Take a right hand turn that leads straight up to the hill. When on the track up the hill. The NW and S takeoffs are on a sharp left hand bend that then winds past both. I think the E takeoff you just carry on straight up the original track.

Weather

Sometimes rough convergences can develop later in the day.

Comments

Must be low winds to fly here.
