Take-off description
Access the beach from the Hilda Road or Michael Road carparks. Inflate on the beach (wind may appear light) and then crab up next to the dune. Move sideways and up building momentum, launch pointing the wing at approx 45 degrees to the dune. You should quickly get airborne and then try stay infront of the dune top as there are houses, powerlines, light poles you can easily get blown back into in anything above 11 knots. Dunes are 4-16m high and you can get a great run on a decent 9-11knot WSW.
Getting there
Walk down to the beach from Hilda or Michael Road carparks
Weather
SW to W above 9-10kts. Works best on WSW.
Rules / airspace
Be friendly with the locals and beach/dog walkers.
