Take-off description
Airfield launch with use of a payout winch system. There is also mountain launch available but not used very often due to the strong wind gradient
Getting there
In the middle of SA, take the n1 from Cape Town or Johannesburg to Britstown or Hanover & then the N10 to De Aar (shorter options also available on the website)

The site is a world record XC site. It holds the world record on a DHV 1-2 of 306km. The local, aswell as SA open distance record of 344km. Most pilots come here to get ther 1st 100km, as the site is very reliable & normaly makes it very to achieve this.
