Hike up (10 to 15 minutes) or High Clearance 4X4 drive up Note: The Blossom LZ is CLOSED until further notice. Effective 5-7-14, the Blossom LZ Landowner will press trespassing charges to all accessing his land. Helix Water Property & Old Riverbed LZs Remain Closed

Weather

Blossom Valley has the Highest Accident Rate of all San Diego County sites. Thumper out front and to the North is a knob that tends to throw off thermals that can be pretty bouncy. Also watch out for high winds, venturi effect, across the top and across Amen Ridge, off the the right (north) of launch. Lower speed-gliders can be blown back on windy days. Lots of Power Lines in Valley
