Descripción del despegue
A not-so-grassy slope with room for 2 to 4 gliders. Nice inclination. Lines can get caught with roots and outcropping rocks, but not too bad. There are a few telecom towers just besides the slope.
Cómo llegar
The place is about 1 hour from the city of Cusco. You can get there with the local pilots or you can take a bus or minivan from Cusco to Urubamba, get off at the trail head and walk up the take off for 20 to 25 minutes. Just go to the antennas.
Meteo
EXTREMELY DANGEROUS: There is a virtually invisible abandoned zip line that runs from somewhere below the take off to the valley floor (beyond the landing). Such line cuts through the main landing field (as marked in this website). If you are not 100% certain of where the line is, use an alternative field. Also keep it in mind if you happen to be scratching near the slope. See a diagram showing this in the pictures section.

This is currently the main site in Cusco region for both solo and tandem pilots. It is a challenging site! Be careful! All the conditions can vary quite a lot, wind direction strength weather dust devils etc. You can never be sure until you are in the air. It is a awesome site to brush up skills, but so not advisable for beginners, as seldom the flights are easy and calm.
