Descrizione del decollo
Take of from the beach just 4 kilometers north from lokken og walk to the top of the dunes and launch there. In fact you can take of in many places along this beach, north from lokken, but please be aware that the dunes are protected wildlife zone, so try not to destroy the grass that grows in the dunes here
Come arrivare
Take the highway E45 up to Aalborg (spelled locally with an A with a ball over it), after Aalborg shift to the highway E39. Turn of the highway when you see the sign towards lokken (spelled localy with and overcrossed O). When you come to lokken go to the beach on the north side of town, you can drive on the beach but only from the nortern side... Go north a few kilometers and there you will see the dunes and probably gliders flying there if possible.
Meteo
ROTOR BEHIND THE DUNES CAN KILL YOU. Ask locals for basic advice about the terrain, even if you are a very experenced mountain pilot. Never fly behind the dunes. If there is white tops on the waves (strong wind) and no pilots flying, maybe you should go for a beer in town an check out the girls (or boys) inthere...
Regole / spazio aereo
Dont launch in front of the lonely beach farm, just north of town. They are friendly, but they prefer not to have a permanent PG camp in front of their house to show respect, and take of north of the farm. From here you can fly everywhere towards north.
