Descrizione del decollo

Easy E takeoff, grassy slope. Pass on the left of the oak with the windsock when launching. Pay special attention to the wind cheching the windsock on the antenna on the N takeoff. If the wind is from N, NE this takeoff is in rotor. With N, NE winds use the N takeoff. N takeoff (50 m northbound). Short, narrow and steep, a little intimidating, but looks worse than it actually is. Make sure your glider comes up cleanly before committing your launch.

Come arrivare

From Modena follow signs for Pavullo nel Frignano. Pass Gorzano and after some Km turn right following directions for Serramazzoni. After approx. 5 Km turn right following the sign for Monfestino (narrow, paved road). Leave your car just before entering the village and walk down 50m to the takeoff. DRIVE SLOWLY!!! We struggle to keep good relations with the inhabitants.

Meteo

Unflyable with NW, W, SW, S winds. Rough with strong E winds. With N, NE winds the E takeoff can look good but is in rotor, beware! Can launch from here with very light N and NE. In this case steer left as soon as you clear the launch.
