Take off is at a turn-out on the last big switchback on highway 14 going over the Bighorns.

Take highway 14 west out of Dayton, Wyoming
Meteo
Turbulance or shears can occur when thermals going up on the east slope of the Bighorns hits the prevailing westerly winds. Be sure to check forecast for what the Meteo winds are doing at 12,000. Anything greater than 15mph Westerly should lead to extreme caution!
