Requires a drive up, 2WD all the way. Open grassy slope in west-facing bowl. Soaring potential along south-facing ridge, west-facing Sugar Hill to southeast.

From Portland, Highway 6 to Tillamook, right on Wilson River Loop, right onto Sollie Smith Rd N. Park at LZ and carpool up. 45.47N 123.77W Drive to top via Aldercrest, 45.478,123.801, right first junction, stay on main road, left top of ridge at junction, sharp left next junction, steep short climb to launch. 45.491,123.768
Météo
Marine air can condense rapidly in front of launch creating white-out conditions. Strong thermals possible during summer, prevailing northerly summer winds may be thermal blocked up launch slope but create rotor turbulence aloft.

USHPA membership expected for insurance coverage.
