Description du décollage

A small crude grassy slope over a rock bluff. A short steep 150' hike in up a 40° slope. Accès

Rugged 2WD Hyw. 3 heading East from Osoyoos, turn north and drive in 2.4 Km on Long Joe Road. (Last road off on long hill heading East out of Osoyoos... or the first road if you're coming down the hill heading West.) Then take the first Left turn heading north for 0.6 Km. A short hike uphill to a small grassy slope.

Anarchist Summit Webcam, east of Osoyoos, looking east. http://images.drivebc.ca/bchighwaycam/pub/html/www/64.html This is a SW facing site, but it is best in NW cross winds. North winds can come up suddenly on an otherwise south or no wind day, and they can be rather hairy, so keep an eye on the north end of the lake.

Great HG and PG site. Great Scenery.

Magnificent evening glass-offs All pilots wishing to fly Anarchist must sign a waiver at the Desert Cultural Center http://www.nkmipdesert.com and must, upon signing in, prove that they hold current HPAC Insurance. Times to Fly - Afternoon & evening May 'Victoria Day Long Weekend' Low Key Fly-In each year. Anarchist is a better thermal site during the day when a breeze is coming in. However it is a SPECTACULAR Evening Glass Off Site, where glass off extends all the way across the lake. The 'House' Thermal it is to the left of launch in the bowl near to the vehicle parking area....or work back right to the North face. Big sink not too far off to the left (east) Not a wise idea to fly over the USA Border without following protocol. Good XC routes east past Rock Creek, north to Vaseaux Lake, west to Hedley.
